Website Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 July 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who we are
This website at www.kali.legal (the “Website”) is operated by Monoceros Services Limited, trading as Kali Legal (Kali, we or us), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14910705, with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF.
These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Website. By using the Website, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the Website.
These Terms do not cover the separate terms of business or engagement letter that apply once we are formally engaged to provide fractional legal services to a client. Those are agreed directly with the client and take priority over anything on this Website.
2. We are not a law firm
Kali is a legal services consultancy, not a law firm or a recognised or licensed body regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or any other legal services regulator. We do not hold ourselves out as providing reserved legal activities within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007.
We do not accept instructions, hold client money, or act as a solicitor on the record for any matter through this Website. Any legal services we provide are delivered under a separate, signed engagement with the client, which will set out the basis on which we act, our fees, and the professional indemnity cover in place.
3. No legal advice
The content on this Website is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice, does not create a solicitor-client or advisor-client relationship, and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice tailored to your specific circumstances.
We try to keep the Website accurate and current, but we make no representation or warranty that any content is complete, accurate, or up to date, and we accept no liability for any action taken or not taken in reliance on it. If you need advice on a particular matter, please contact us to discuss a formal engagement.
4. Enquiries do not create an engagement
Submitting an enquiry, contact form, or message through the Website does not create a client relationship, does not instruct us to act, and does not, of itself, oblige us to keep the information you send us confidential or to run a conflict check on it. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the Website before we have agreed to act for you.
5. Using this Website
You may view, download, and print extracts from the Website for your own personal or internal business reference. You must not:
- modify, copy, or reproduce any part of the Website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent;
- use any part of the Website to build a database, or use automated tools, including AI models or scrapers, to extract content at scale;
- remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice from any content; or
- use the Website in any way that breaches applicable law, infringes anyone's rights, or introduces viruses, malware, or other harmful material.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Website at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, we own or have licensed all intellectual property rights in the Website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and the Kali name and branding. All such rights are reserved. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you, except the limited right to use the Website as set out in section 5.
7. Links to other websites
The Website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any linked website. Including a link does not imply endorsement, and you access third-party websites at your own risk.
8. Availability of the Website
We aim to keep the Website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict access to all or part of the Website for business or operational reasons, including maintenance, without notice.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.
Subject to the above, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) the Website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied; and (b) we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website.
This section does not affect the liability position under any separate engagement letter or terms of business we enter into with a client, which will address liability for the legal services themselves.
10. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data, including data collected through this Website, and sets out your rights. It is available at www.kali.legal/privacy and forms part of these Terms by reference.
As at the date of this version, we do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies on the Website. If this changes, we will update our Privacy Policy and, where required, seek your consent before doing so.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services, the law, or how the Website operates. The version in place at the time you use the Website will apply, so please check back periodically. We will note the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we make changes.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Website (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim.
13. Contact us
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at saman@kali.legal or write to us at Monoceros Services Limited, trading as Kali Legal, 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF.
